Korean National Police Heritage Museum offers comfortable and enjoyable experience to visitors.
  • - Closed : Mondays, New Year's Day,
       Lunar New Year's Day, Chuseok
  • - Individuals : No reservations required
    - Group (more than 15 visitors): Online            reservations required
  • * Please contact the museum staff for group tours
       of 80 visitors or more.
    * Floor plans available in Korean, English, Chinese and Japanese at the information desk.
  • - Parking is not allowed as the road in front of     the main gate of the museum is a bus-only         lane.
    - Please use the car park at the Seoul Museum     of history located near the museum.


History Hall
The history of the Police is exhibited with collections including uniforms, artifacts and
videos that date back to the Joseon Dynasty, Japanese Occupation, the early periods
of the Republic of Korea, Korean war, 1960s to 1980s and the present. It also serves
as the space of memorial to fallen officers with sculptures and symbolic installations.
Meet the Police
Duties and actions of police officers are explained through the collections of police equipment, life size models and images of special police including the SWAT unit in action.
Experience Hall
Visitors can use and experience police equipment across 11 fun experience sections
to learn the importance of order and law enforcement.
The reception area has Information desk, lockers and photo area where visitors can
take pictures in police uniform or on patrol cars and motorcycles.

Hours of operation - 10:30 / 11:30 / 13:30 / 14:30 / 15:30 / 16:30
Open only for visitors over 11 years of age due to safety and educational reasons.


Reservation is required for group tours.
  • Please keep order in the museum.
  • Please keep silent in the museum. Young children
    have to be accompanied and supervised
    with adults to keep order.
  • Please protect the collections.
  • Do not place hands on or lean against showcases.
    Do not use computers in the
    exhibition halls for non-exhibition purposes.
    Visitors are obliged to compensate
    for destroyed or damaged artifacts and facilities.
  • Please let them wait outside!
  • Pets.
    Shoes with wheels or inline skates.
    Drink, gum, snack or other food.
    Please use nearby cafeterias, restaurants
    or parks for dining.
  • Please keep safe.
  • Do not run on stairs.
    Please be careful not to bump into exhibits.

Lockers are located on the 1st floor.
One stroller and one wheelchair are available at the museum.
